  • Product Description

Newport's Standard Biomedical Bandpass Filters (SBF) are offered at all of the wavelengths commonly utilized for absorption spectrometry based, clinical chemistry instrumentation. These filters provide excellent signal-to-noise ratio with a nominal 8nm bandwidth. Two versions of Standard Biomedical Filters are available. Our original SBFs are constructed using a scribed and laminated construction. Since their introduction in the early 1990's, these filters have been providing superior optical performance and field life in clinical instrumentation installed in widely varied environmental conditions, world wide. New in 2006, we now offer Standard Biomedical Filters that are fabricated using our patented Stabilife® coating technology. Stabilife® Standard Biomedical Bandpass Filters (SSBF) provide the same excellent spectral performance as our original SBFs with the added physical durability that is characteristic of Stabilife® products. Both SBF and SSBF products are offered in an industry standard 10mm diameter. Custom shapes and sizes of Stabilife® SBF filters are available upon request.
